Department of English is one of the founding departments of Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, started functioning in 2013.The College provides B A and M A in English Language and Literature. The department has been rated very high in academic circles from its inception. The Department of English is honored to have a well-qualified and experienced team of faculty. The Department of English constantly focuses to kindle research aptitude among students by organizing Seminars and Paper Presentations.

The Department of Commerce came into being in 2013 with B. Com Taxation course. The department is keen to acquaint students with service of the highest order and excellence for facilitating the growth of their inner potential and also for contributing towards their moral, intellectual and personal development. The department has experienced its excellence with committed staff and dedicated students who stand up to the reputation of the college in the fields of academic and extracurricular activities. The department of Commerce started B Com Co- operation stream in 2019.

The Department of Physics started functioning in 2015. Since its inception, the department has been credited for providing quality education in the field of physical sciences. The department offers six semester graduate course in Physics to the students and the invaluable faculty to ensure quality education. The department is well equipped by a fully functioning laboratory with advanced and sophisticated instruments. The department is competent to provide clear and thorough academic grounds to the inquiring minds.

The department was started in 2015 with the admission of students to I B Sc Geology. Right from the beginning, students have come out in university examinations with flying colours. Several students of the department have been admitted in various institutions in India. The course offers high profile occupations in the Geological Survey of India, Oil and Natural as Commission, Indian Space Research Organization, Centre for Earth Science Studies, Central Ground Water Board and Mining and Geology Department of India.

The Department of Malayalam was established in 2013. The department envision developing creativity, language proficiency and moral values through the mother tongue. The department takes initiatives in shaping the aesthetic endeavors of the students and thereby promoting the culture of our state. Nearly 75students in the college take up Malayalam as their second language. The department is blessed with the presence of experienced faculty members who ensure quality education to the students.

The Department of Hindi was established in 2013. The department focuses on developing language proficiency and moral values through our national language. The Department of Physical Education is established since the beginning of college. Since then the department has never turned back and hardly ever lost sight of our cut out task in the area of sports. The department contributes tremendously to the reputation of the campus and still continuous to do in developing sports men and women of the highest caliber. The students win laurels and make us all proud.
